| The price of a leasehold HIP will be the same as a Freehold HIP provided a clear clean copy of the lease document is supplied by the vendor, otherwise a small charge will be made by us to obtain full details. |

Terms & Conditions
|
These are the terms & conditions for our supply of any commissioned Home Information Pack (HIP) or Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the residential property specified by you. By ordering either of these you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The Company (Arun HIPS) will be pleased to quote for either of the above services, and your acceptance and our confirmation of acceptance will constitute a contract between us.
2. As a consumer there is a seven day cooling off period available to you during which time you are able to withdraw from the contract for any reason, subject to the following provision. The seven day cooling off period and your right to cancel will not apply when the requested work has been commenced, that is where the Energy Performance Survey has already been carried out. Once this has occurred the whole of the HIPs procedure of searches will have been instigated and the full amount of the agreed quotation will become payable.
3. We will endeavour to deliver the complete printed copy of the EPC to you within two working days from the date of the survey and the completed printed copy of the HIP within 5 working days. Exceptions as noted in section 4.
4. You acknowledge and agree that during the preparation of the Home Information Pack that it will be necessary for us to obtain reports from third parties on your behalf in respect of the property for sale. We cannot be responsible for any delays in delivering this information by the third parties.
5. The following third party documents are included in the quoted fee: Land Registry Title; Land Registry Plan; Local Searches and Land Charges; Drainage and Water Search. Any additional searches such as for Leasehold or Commonhold properties may attract additional fees.
6. Payment in full becomes due on the commissioning of the HIP or the EPC if that was contracted.
7. Limitations of liability accepted by both parties include any information supplied by the house owner to the assessor regarding construction and heating. Limitations of the survey also include the fact that all boilers and other electrical or gas equipment and fittings are deemed to be in good working condition. The survey does not include for the testing of such equipment.
8. We accept no liability for any loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of contracts, loss of data, loss of time or any consequential loss or damage of any kind whether caused by breach of contract, negligence or otherwise.
9. The Law: These terms and conditions and any contracts for the purchase of Home Information Packs or Energy Performance Certificates through Arun HIPS will be covered by English law. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such terms and conditions or contracts shall be subject to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
10. Arun HIPS are fully accredited Domestic Energy Assessors, and all HIPs comply with the HIP Code and are fully insured and indemnified.
